A call to duty: The Great Commission
I personally feel a lot of people don't trust the true power of God. He promised the apostles that the one who would come would explain to them the mysteries of Heaven. (But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26) While the apostles may be more in God's favor than we, they are no more or less human than we are. The promise (of salvation, the indwelling, and the filling of the spirit) was to them, and their children, as many as are in this age. (For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.
