A call to duty: The Great Commission

I personally feel a lot of people don't trust the true power of God. He promised the apostles that the one who would come would explain to them the mysteries of Heaven. (But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26) While the apostles may be more in God's favor than we, they are no more or less human than we are. The promise (of salvation, the indwelling, and the filling of the spirit) was to them, and their children, as many as are in this age. (For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. Acts 2:39) Here is a story given that I have always enjoyed, and a constant reminder of my faith. Matthew 17:15-20 (New King James Version) 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I b...

Test your salvation!

Down to business. I felt the Holy Spirit laying this message on my heart so heavily that I just could not ignore it. It took no effort and little thought to write, and was truly breathed by God alone. I cannot possibly take credit for it. I feel that we (the one true church of God) are in a state of falling away right now. (Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 2 Thessalonians 2:3) The Christian way of life is become "unpopular", "unpleasant", a "myth" that only the uneducated masses believe in. It saddens me greatly to see this happening in my life. I know, though, that these things must come to pass as it is the will of God to bring his plan to completion. S...

To all who has ears, let them hear!

Alright, I've never had a blog before, really, so this is new to me. I wrote this note and posted it on facebook a few weeks ago, but it went largely unnoticed. Now I'm not looking to garner a huge following, fame, or money with this blog, but rather, to use it as a vessel for the words that God lays upon my heart. So here goes the message I posted on facebook recently as a starter, and hopefully within the few weeks, I can elaborate more on some of the points I made and maybe even find some scripture to back up what I'm speaking of!
